What to expect...

Walls: First, outlet and switch covers will be removed and trim will be taped. Any holes or noticeable dents will be spackled/fixed, sanded, recoated and sanded again as necessary, spot primed, and painted. Holes bigger than a dime or cracks bigger than two inches would be an additional charge. Walls will then be first coated, sanded, then second coated. Hard to cover rooms may receive another coat at an additional charge. New drywall will need to be primed first.

Painted woodwork: First, all woodwork will be wiped down with degreaser if necessary, then taped off and scuff sanded. Primer will then be applied and we will spackle and caulk as needed. Everything will be sanded again. All woodwork will be two coated, with sanding between coats if necessary. When the environment allows, we like to spray trim for a smoother finish. When painting only woodwork without walls, the price increases due to more preparation and labor as everything will need to be done by hand. Cabinet doors will be taken to our shop and brought back when cured. Remember, depending on the type of wood, some woodgrain texture may show through the paint.

Stained new woodwork: First, woodwork is sanded if needed, then stain is either sprayed or wiped on with a sponge. Next, the wet stain is wiped with rags, then sealer is applied, nail holes are puttied, then the trim is sanded again. The woodwork is then lacquered, sanded, then lacquered again. After each sanding, the floor around the trim will be swept, vacuumed or dusted.

Exteriors: First, exteriors are power washed, then primed, caulked and scraped as needed. Next, the body is two-coated via sprayer, then trim, facia, etc. is two-coated. All unpainted brick or cement is primed with masonry primer.

Stained Decks, Porches and Fences: First, they are power washed, then stain will be applied as directed by the product being used (usually one good coat is applied). We recommend not using the space and keeping it dry for at least 24 hours, but preferably 48 hours.

Epoxy Floors: Wood floors will be scuff sanded and cement floors will be acid washed. If outside, the area will be power washed. Epoxy will be applied as directed by the product being used (usually two coats, one per day, sometimes a clear coat on top). We recommend not using the space and keeping it dry between coats then after for at least 24 hours, but preferably 48 hours. If you absolutely need to, you could use socks to walk on it 6 hours after application if it’s completely dry.
